Your privacy is the most important feature of SubMind. This app was built from the ground up to be a private, secure space for you to manage your subscriptions.
Our philosophy is simple: what you track in SubMind is your business, and nobody else's.
We don't have user accounts, we don't use external servers to store your private data, and we never link to your bank accounts. Your financial subscription list never leaves your device.
No Accounts, No Signups: We do not ask for your name, email, or a password. You are anonymous to us.
Your Financial Data Stays on Your Phone: We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal data you enter, such as subscription names, costs, or renewal dates. All of this information is stored only locally on your device. We cannot see it.
No Ad Trackers: We do not have any advertising or use any ad-tracking SDKs.
No Selling of Data: Since we collect no personal data, we have nothing to sell. Ever.
Anonymous Purchase Management: We use a third-party service (RevenueCat) to handle your 'Pro' upgrade. This service only uses an anonymous receipt to manage your 'Pro' status. It cannot see your private subscription list.
Anonymous Crash Logs: If the app crashes, we may receive an anonymous, aggregated report from Apple. This helps us fix bugs and contains no personal or financial data.
We have designed SubMind to collect the absolute minimum information possible. We can group this into two categories:
This is the information you enter into the app. It is stored only on your device and we never have access to it. This includes:
To make the app function and to fix bugs, we receive two types of completely anonymous data. This data is never linked to your personal data from category (A).
Subscription Status (via RevenueCat): We use a service called RevenueCat to manage our "Pro" subscriptions. When you upgrade, RevenueCat generates an anonymous receipt and confirms to our app that you are a "Pro" user. This allows us to restore your purchase if you get a new device. RevenueCat does not have access to your private subscription list.
Crash Reports (via Apple): If the app crashes, Apple's service may automatically send us an anonymous, aggregated report. This report helps us find and fix the bug. It does not contain any of your personal financial data, subscription names, or notes.
Your Private Financial Data is used only by the app on your device to perform its core functions: tracking your subscriptions and sending you renewal reminders.
Your Anonymous Data is used by us to:
All your private SubMind data (your subscription list) is stored in a private, sandboxed database on your phone.
This data is protected by your device's built-in security (e.g., your passcode or Face ID).
Your data may be included in your device's automatic, encrypted backups (e.g., Apple iCloud backups). This is a function of your device's operating system, and we have no ability to access or read this backup data.
If you delete the SubMind app from your device, all of its associated private data is permanently and irretrievably deleted.
SubMind offers a one-time "Pro" upgrade. This transaction is handled by two third-party services:
The Apple App Store: Your payment is processed exclusively by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card number, or billing address.
RevenueCat: As mentioned above, we use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. You can review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for more details on their data handling.
SubMind is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since our app collects no personal information from any user, we are in full compliance with laws like the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
