FlipTimer Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE DATE: May 25, 2026

FlipTimer is fundamentally a privacy-first application. We believe your focus time, habits, and session data are strictly your own business.

As a focus tool designed to minimize digital distraction, our architecture ensures that no personal data leaves your device without your explicit consent.

1. Local On-Device Storage

FlipTimer utilizes native iOS frameworks (like SwiftData/CoreData) to store your focus sessions, target times, and streak analytics directly on your device. We do not use external cloud servers or backend databases to hoard your data.

If you utilize iCloud, Apple may sync your encrypted data across your personal devices, but we (the developers) have absolutely zero access to this data.

2. Zero Tracking & Telemetry

We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral trackers, or analytics tools into FlipTimer. We don't track how often you open the app, how long you focus, or what buttons you tap.

3. Anonymous Crash Reporting

To maintain app stability and fix bugs, we may receive anonymous crash reports provided entirely through Apple's opt-in developer console. These reports contain stack traces and device models, but never personal information or focus logs.

4. Sensor Usage (CoreMotion)

FlipTimer relies on your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to detect when the phone is flipped face-down or lifted. This sensor data is processed in real-time on your device to trigger the timer. The sensor data stream is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.

5. Your Consent

By using FlipTimer, you consent to our privacy-first philosophy. If our data practices ever change to include cloud storage or analytics, we will prominently notify you and require explicit opt-in consent before any data collection begins.
